Pumped full of vitamins, greens, + protein…AND it tastes so good even my toddler asks for them almost daily!
Makes 1 smoothie
Prep Time: 5 minutes

- Orange juice, about 2 cups
- Frozen mango, about 1/2 cup
- Fresh spinach, 1-2 handfuls
- Vanilla protein powder, 1/2 scoop

- Start with adding orange juice to the blender.
- Add mango and protein powder, top with spinach.
- Blend until smooth

- My toddler makes these almost daily. I only add 1/2 a scoop of protein for her. If I make it for me, I add a full scoop.
- I don’t add ice because the frozen mango keeps it cool and makes it velvety versus more watery.
- For orange juice, you could fresh squeeze your own but I use store bought. Anything with no added sugar on the label. In order to keep this as healthy as possible, you don’t want to load up on sugar. I buy Simply Orange with no pulp.
This smoothie is so simple, delicious, and healthy. My almost 4 year old makes one with supervision almost every day and actually drinks all of it. Mango is high in Vitamin A and C. Spinach is too, as well as iron, folate, and calcium. Orange juice, without added sugar, is high in Vitamin C and fiber. And a boost of protein never hurts for better health.
During flu season, you’ll be glad you’ve got a yummy snack doing all the defensive work for you. And for those of you with picky eaters on your hands, hopefully this helps get them some nutrients that chicken nuggets just can’t quite provide. Cheers to staying healthy!
