Pizza Dip

Pizza Dip

A great addition to any game day, this warm dip has all the flavors and textures of classic pizza but in a dip! This one pan dish is great option for feeding a crowd of hungry sports fans and reheats well.

Prep time: 10 minutes

Bake time: 20 minutes

Total time: 30 minutes

Makes 8-12 servings

  • 24 oz of marinara or your favorite pizza sauce
  • 16 oz (2 blocks) of cream cheese, softened
  • 1 Tablespoon chopped garlic
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 2 teaspoons dried parsley
  • 6 oz package pepperoni slices (likely won’t need the whole package)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • In a medium bowl, combine softened cream cheese, garlic, thyme, oregano, and parsley until smooth.
  • Grease a 3.5 quart pan (I use a 9×13 cake pan) and add your pizza sauce to the bottom, spreading evenly.
  • Add dollops of cream cheese mixture to the top (does not need to be evenly spread out) until all has been added.
  • Layer on pepperoni and then shredded mozzarella cheese. Add a couple extra pepperoni on top for funsies.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Serve immediately with garlic bread, breadsticks, or baguette slices. (I like to use large, sliced chunks of my homemade bread).
  • Since this is a dip, I recommend cutting small pieces of bread as dippers rather than whole slices or chunks. If you are using traditional garlic bread, I cut the loaf in slices and then cut the slices in half.
  • If you want a little extra, consider adding some shredded Parmesan on top with the mozzarella. You could also add some red pepper flakes (or have them available for use).
  • This does make quite a bit and is meant to feed a small crowd. I frequently make this and cut the recipe in half if it’s just me and my husband and four-year-old. That way we don’t have much (if any) leftover.

This is one of my favorite recipes to have on football Sunday. It’s warm and a total comfort food for the chiller months (the ones that end in -ber), and a nice twist on pizza when you want pizza, but also other game day snacks.

Feed your people (or yourself!) with this delish and easy recipe that also reheats well, if you happen to have any leftovers.

Until next time,
