Chocolate Fruit Dip

Chocolate Fruit Dip

Serving fresh fruit but want to add a little pizzazz? Whip up this three ingredient fruit dip as a decadent partner. Creamy, fluffy, and ready in five minutes.

Prep time: 5 minutes

Chill time: 20 minutes

Total time: 25 minutes

  • I box of instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold milk (or however much your pudding mix uses)
  • 8 oz container Cool Whip (or Coco Whip is dairy free and TruWhip is plant based, both are good alternatives)
  • Make your instant pudding mix.
  • Once the pudding is soft set (about 5 minutes) stir in the Cool Whip until both are mixed together well.
  • Serve immediately or store in a covered bowl in the fridge until ready to serve.
  • Healthier Alternative Option: Mix together 1 cup of plain Greek yogurt, 2 Tablespoons honey, 2 Tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder, 1 scoop Vanilla or chocolate protein powder, 1/4 teaspoon vanilla, and a dash of cinnamon, and whisk together until all ingredients are incorporated. This one takes a few extra ingredients and doesn’t make as much, but is cleaner than the pudding/whipped cream mix.

I love making this one if I’m bringing a fruit tray somewhere or we are hosting a lot of people. It’s a fun way to add a little something to a fruit platter and kids absolutely love it, which tends to get them to eat more fruit.

I have made the healthier alternative also, but I usually whip that up for just our family at home as a healthy dessert option. It tastes sweet and feels like a treat but the ingredients are so clean that, alongside some fruit, you don’t feel like you’re blowing sugar intake.

Whichever version you make, I hope you enjoy!

Until next time,
