Spring Themed Activities

Spring Themed Activities

If you’re looking for some fun themed activities and free printable worksheets, look no further! Great for 3-5 year olds. Also includes some festive recipes that are perfect to welcome the warmer weather!

It’s officially SPRING and that’s a big deal here in the Midwest!

Not only does that mean the snow melts and we can see grass (even if it’s brown!), it also means we see the sunshine more and can actually get out and enjoy the fresh air for longer than 15 minutes at a time after being cooped up for months on end.

To celebrate, I’m sharing some fun new free printables, activities, and recipes!

You can find the Canva links for printables at the bottom of the post if you prefer not to download. All of them are in black + white so they are printer/ink friendly.

Recipes are all linked so you can find them easily.

Rainbow Pasta Salad: The perfect spring orzo pasta salad (and summer!). Filled with vibrant colors and a delish zesty lemon dressing that covers it all, it’s a great dish to accompany anything from the grill or to bring to any potluck–including Easter! Link to recipe here.

Strawberry Lemonade Electrolytes: A blended healthier spin on classic strawberry lemonade, made with coconut water, strawberries, and lemon juice. Will also absolutely get you in the mood for summer. Link to recipe here.

Carrot Cake Cupcakes: Nothing gets you quite in the spirit for springtime or Easter like these yummy (and healthier!) cupcakes. If you want a cake, check the Notes in the recipe for how to adjust. Link to recipe here.

Lemon Brownies: If you haven’t noticed, lemon is definitely trending this season and for good reason! These babies are like a lemon bar with the consistency of a brownie. Try not to eat the entire pan in a sitting. Link to recipe here.

Draw A Flower Activity: How to draw a flower in four simple steps. Perfect for little ones learning to draw using basic shapes and lines.

Spring Sensory Bin: Create an indoor appropriate garden for your littles that is low mess but high fun! The dried beans are perfect for easy cleanup, so you won’t feel bad if they dump out the entire bin OR if the vacuum finds a few strays.

Window Greenhouse: Add a little science to your house and have your kiddo grow their own bean using a Ziploc bag, wet paper towel, and a seed or two. They’ll be able to see a sprout in a couple of days and watch it continue to grow! Sparks great conversations about how plants grow and what they look like growing when planted in soil. Don’t forget to download the optional plant journal to track growth!

I hope you found something to use or make to kick off your spring season! Check back in a week or so for Easter themed printables + activities + recipes. Links to everything in Canva can be found below.
