Use these worksheets with your littles to help them learn and practice patterns!
These are fun worksheets that can be printed out in color or black and white. Color definitely helps if your little one is learning how to identify patterns because the colors are what makes the patterns distinct.
If you don’t have a color printer, that’s no problem! I purposely picked distinct patterns that are not reliant on color to identify differences and similarities.
You could also easily print them out in black and white for an extra challenge, or color them quickly ahead of time if you want. Don’t overcomplicate it, I would simply take one color and color the entire dinosaur/bug/sunshine/etc. Unless you truly want to design each one, then go for it!
You also have the option of using glue or a glue stick to glue each answer into the square. If you don’t want the mess or don’t have a glue stick, that’s okay! Simply have your little one place the correct answer in the square box.
PDFs for 5 different pattern worksheets are available for download below, or feel free to use my Canva link if you prefer to print from there!

As always these are meant to be as easy and as stress-free as possible for every mama. When I started making these activities for my toddler, my goal was not to spend hours preparing them each day or have them take tons of time.
I wanted them quick, easy, mostly mess free, and of course educational with a splash of fun. It doesn’t have to be complicated, and anyone telling you they spend hours a week on activities for their kids, well…good for them. But I personally don’t have that kind of time or energy chasing my toddler around and keeping up with everything else in life.
I hope you enjoy this week’s activity and check back for more next week!
