Cake Batter Dip

Cake Batter Dip

Fun and festive, especially for a New Year’s party, this cake batter dip is so easy to make and is great for a crowd because it makes more than you think!

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Chill Time: 30 minutes

Total Time: 40 minutes

Makes enough for about 12 people

  • 1 block of cream cheese (8 oz block), softened
  • 1 box funfetti cake mix
  • 1 tub (8 oz) whipped topping, like Cool Whip, thawed
  • Rainbow sprinkles, optional
  • Graham cracker sticks or vanilla wafer cookies
  • In a medium mixing bowl, combine cream cheese and cake mix using an electric hand or stand mixer. Mix on medium speed for about 2-3 minutes or until the ingredients are well combined. It will be thick.
  • Fold in the whipped topping. Mix until fully combined.
  • Cover and place in the fridge for 30 minutes to chill and set, or until ready to serve.
  • Garnish with sprinkles, if desired, and serve with your choice of sweet cracker or cookie.
  • If you want to heat treat the cake mix, add it to a microwave safe bowl for two 30-second intervals stirring in between and allow cake mix to cool to room temperature before using.

This is a fun recipe to make with kiddos because not only is it full of rainbow colors but it’s not too many ingredients so they won’t get bored half way through. It’s also pretty low mess so having them “help” doesn’t destroy your kitchen. I hope you enjoy it!
