Reindeer Noses

Reindeer Noses

I make these around the holidays because they’re a perfect bite-sized treat! I use the red and green holiday M&Ms but you could make them any time of the year and use normal colored M&Ms for rainbow fun.

  • Circle pretzels
  • Hershey’s Hugs, unwrapped
  • Christmas M&Ms (red and green)
  • Preheat oven to 250 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  • Place pretzels in a single layer on the parchment paper.
  • Top each pretzel with all of the unwrapped Hugs.
  • Bake in oven for 3-1/2 minutes. You want the Hugs to lose their shape but not melt completely.
  • Remove from oven.
  • Press an M&M on top of each of the Hugs.
  • Cool in fridge on baking sheet for 15 minutes, or freezer for 5-7 minutes.
  • Remove and store in airtight container.
  • I do not recommend putting the tray outside to cool down. In some cases, the chocolate can take on the smells of the outdoors and then your treats will taste like whatever it absorbed (bon fire, diesel, etc.).
  • Any longer than 4 minutes in the oven and the chocolate is totally melted. I personally like them to be a bit firm still so it’s less messy pushing the M&M on top. Otherwise the chocolate tends to blend together making it look a little sloppy and messy.
  • Pro tip: Place the M on the m&m down into the chocolate so they look more polished.

This is a really easy, quick treat to make and bring along to any get-together. Even if I’m not tasked with bringing something, sometimes I’ll bring a batch of these as a host/hostess gift or extra treat to share with everyone.

It’s also a good one to make with kiddos because it’s fairly low mess and taking the wrappers off the Hugs is a great job for toddlers who want to help. It took my three-year-old 20 minutes to unwrap all of them and allowed me to mix up another batch while she worked on that #momwin

I hope you enjoy this fun and festive treat and have a very Merry Christmas!
